All in all this is an awesome recreation of the scene from the scan.
A lot of work seems to have went into recreation the missing parts and it shows.

Personally though I would've liked some more detail in the grassland behind them. Like more texture on in the blades etc.

The sky is fine as is, but again since im a hater of the simplistic, a texture could've been used to make it look more painty? Oh well it fits damn good with the scan anyway.

In the end, this wall is just awesome, and I think more people should get inspired to try out painting in their wallpapers. This is seriously a style that we are all forgetting, and it is essentially one of the basic fundamentals of art.

That being said, everyone should join paint-o-rama so we can have a grand time painting things and working together to be better people! ^^

The vector is great, but you could've done more.
Negative space may be good for a lot of people, but it isn't for me. =/

I think sakura blossoms would've been better than the bamboo as it would match the occasion for the yukata more.

I think it'd be wayyy cooler if you tried to mimic this with brush strokes instead of just solid lines too. :3

This is good for a trace, but it doesnt show any actual creativity.

It just shows that you can copy someone else. Technique is good for somethings, but Originality superseeds that.

Here we are blessed with a new wall from candeh.
It seems that her trips to otherworlds have inspired her to grace us with a new mucha wall.

Make no exception though, because this is one of her best. (Ed. note, all her walls are great, but she keeps improving so they are all her "best") She captures the style perfectly.

Cutting things short. This is something you should have on your desktop. Not many wallers can fuze traditional with modern techniques. If you arnt already watching out for candy, I think you should. Else you might miss out on something big.

theres nothing to go WOW about though. It's just nicely put together and works as a wallpaper.

I mean you could say you did an awsome job doing the mountains, but it doesnt really amaze me that much, since i already know how you do it.

Maybe if you added some light flares on the right-side going into the field of vision... i dont really know.

good work though, you just keep getting better and better with your painting skills.... but don't you think its time to move on to some other technique now? or at least attempt to integrate it with ur painting style.

the more you look at this wall, the more you notice... like the way the textures change for each fold of the kimono.

Anyways, the colors you used really give off that traditional feeling, the textures make it look like this was a traditional painting on a canvas, except BETTER.

I'd say something about how good you used the textures on this wall, but then again i'd be a hypocrite for saying slapping textures on a vector is good. So therefore I wont go any further on that.
